March 10 – 13  Ocean film festival:  Screening 45 films that capture the beauty, power, and mystery of the ocean at Cowell Theater in Fort Mason Center.  Read more at:  San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival

Mar 16 – 20  San Francisco Flower and Garden Show:  At the San Mateo Event Center with five acres of showcase gardens, plant and garden-related products for sale, landscaping seminars, and organic gardening demos.  Read more at: San Francisco Flower & Garden Show

March 26  Eggstravaganza:  A family-friendly event with egg hunts, carnival rides, games, live entertainment, kids activities, and a BBQ competition at Sharon Meadow in Golden Gate Park. $8, kids under age 2 are free.  Read more at:  Eggstravaganza

March 27  Union Street Easter Parade: The 25th annual Easter Parade & Spring Celebration on San Francisco’s historic Union Street, between Gough and Fillmore streets. Join in the parade, Easter bonnet contest, petting zoo, live entertainment, kids’ activities, amazing food and more. Considered to be, “The Biggest Little Parade in San Francisco,” the Union Street Easter Parade begins at 2 p.m. at the corner of Gough and Union streets. Over the years, this wildly colorful parade has seen everything from vintage cars, roller-blading cows and sophisticated fashion to innovative floats and costumed characters.
