Our clients did; in fact, they had a graffiti party, and we were invited!
Back in 2012, Todd helped facilitate the purchase of 2730 21st Street, in an off market transaction for our clients. This is a mixed use building which holds the bar Asiento (previously the Monkey Bar) in the Mission, with a flat above the bar. Have you been to Asiento (ah-SYEN-toh) which means seat in Spanish? Known for tapas and amazing small dishes, Asiento is a great neighborhood bar with everyday happy hour. The first person in calls the happy hour drink special, be the first person in at 5 and get your drink added to that days Happy Hour Special list.
The upper floor is now vacant and the owners have grand plans for the area above the bar, including space for future private party bookings. Since the place will be virtually gutted and redone… why not have a GRAFFITI PARTY! We had a great time watching the creativity unfold. Together we spray painted a wave with sunshine on a bedroom wall. Todd painted a giant alien up high on the living room wall/ceiling, and Kim added little mermaids to some waves that were painted along the baseboard in the living room. She also painted a face near the living room window.
We will certainly let you know when the top floor has been transformed, but for now enjoy the pictures!
